Our Sport: Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact, self-officiated team sport, played by thousands all over the world. It mixes the best features of sports such as soccer, basketball, and football into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game. To learn the rules click here. Our Team: RUCKUS
RUCKUS (Raging Unleashed Chicks Kicking Ultimate Sass) is a club organization and conglomeration of Wake Forest’s finest young lady athletes and other miscellaneous weirdos. The rich tradition began in 2001 when our matriarchs (now internationally acclaimed Frisbee gurus) saw that Wake Forest was in dire need of an organization that embodies athleticism, friendship, enthusiasm, good looks, and the physical capacity to run forward with some hand eye coordination. We are open to students of all ages and levels of experience!
With these qualities, our Wake Forest Ultimate Community has amassed notable victories, including outrunning the Army at the 2013 Hit the Bricks fundraiser for an astounding second place finish, finishing third at 2014 D3 Nationals, and heading to 2015 D3 Nationals, too. As the 21st century propels onward, we hope to honor our generation and beloved university with our accomplishments on and off the field.
Don't be afraid to come out and play! In the fall we teach everyone the game to prepare for our competitive spring season. It is a great way to make friends, exercise, compete, and have fun!
